Updated: May 28, 2026

This summer, NWSWD is launching a survey—and it’s not just for their regular customers. Ideally, they’d reach all 50,000 people living in the District! This is where you come in.  There are 13 questions total, but not all of them are required. The survey will be open from June 1 to August 31.

Reappraisal Contract
The Town of Berkshire has contracted with the New England Municipal Resource Center (NEMRC) to perform the 2026 Town-Wide Reappraisal.

Property Inspections
Property inspections commenced in March 2026 and are currently ongoing. All properties in the Town of Berkshire are being inspected, and valuations are being updated for the 2026-2027 Grand List Year. The Town Office continues to send notices to property owners with approximately two weeks' notice before inspections occur in their specific area. Please contact the Town Office via phone or email with questions, to provide property information, or to schedule an appointment.

Online Property Data Viewer
You may view property information via the NEMRC Online Data Viewer. Following each inspection, a summary of the updated property data is uploaded to this portal.
Access: A specific code is provided to each property owner via a door note and can also be obtained from the Town Office.
Timeline: Updated information generally becomes available approximately four weeks after a property inspection is performed. If your updated information is not reflected after this period, please email the Assessor/Town Clerk.

Valuation Notices
Property owners will be notified of their updated property assessments/valuations in Spring 2026. These notices will include previous and new valuations, as well as information regarding the hearing process. Notices will be mailed to the mailing address on file with the Town Office.
